Popular Day Fishing in Colorado Springs

Some lakes, such as Monument Lake are man-made so fishing here may be a little slim, but the views and location are definitely worth it. Memorial Park has quite a few different lakes and ponds to choose from, so you can easily spend the afternoon catching various types of fish.

A few favorites are Quail Lake Park, Schryver Park, and Fountain Creek Regional Park, all with various species of fish to choose from. Acquiring a fishing license is mandatory to fish in any of these lakes, otherwise, you will be fined, so make sure to plan accordingly, and get yours early in the season.
