Some lakes, such as Monument Lake are man-made so fishing here may be a little slim, but the views and location are definitely worth it. Memorial Park has quite a few different lakes and ponds to choose from, so you can easily spend the afternoon catching various types of fish.
A few favorites are Quail Lake Park, Schryver Park, and Fountain Creek Regional Park, all with various species of fish to choose from. Acquiring a fishing license is mandatory to fish in any of these lakes, otherwise, you will be fined, so make sure to plan accordingly, and get yours early in the season.

You can try each one and see which you prefer, and you may even find yourself a new favorite spot.
