Cheyenne Canyon
Cheyenne Canyon is one of Colorado Springs’ most visited places for tourists and residents!
About Cheyenne Canyon
If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, you need to visit Cheyenne Canyon, operating hours are from 5 am-9 pm. To access Cheyenne Canyon, you pass through the Broadmoor, and the Upper Gold Camp lot, allowing for easy access throughout the entire 1600 acre property.
The hiking trails here are endless, and they accommodate beginner and advanced hikers or climbers. They have plenty of open space if you’re not an avid hiker to enjoy the outdoors regardless.
Hiking, Climbing, Biking
A few favorites include Mt. Cutler, Columbine Trail, Silver Cascade Falls Trail, Seven Bridges Trail, and St. Mary’s Fall Trail. As you may have guessed, a few of these have access to waterfalls, which allow for a refreshing hike, especially during the summer. All of these trails see upwards of 450,000 visitors annually, so proper upkeep is necessary. Make sure you’re taking care of the space and cleaning up any trash or food you brought with you, this will also help deter wildlife.
Overall, Cheyenne Canyon offers plenty of opportunities for all types of people, so make sure to check it out on your next day off and experience all the beauty this place has to offer.
