Christmas Lights in Colorado Springs
The holiday season is HERE, and we are excited to venture into our beautiful city to see all the gorgeous lights and decorations in the different neighborhoods that light up the night and bring the Christmas cheer we are all craving. Check out the list below if you are wanting to plan a few nights this holiday season strolling the streets or riding through neighborhoods to view the magic of the Christmas lights in Colorado Springs!
1: Downtown: The Festival of Lights Parade came back this year, and if you missed it on the 4th, there will still be plenty to do and see while you’re visiting the downtown area of Colorado Springs. Participate in the Holiday Stroll where you can shop for the perfect gifts and view the lights along the street. Be on the look out for pop-up shops along your walk, and maybe think about taking a stroll through Acacia Park and purchasing tickets for the skating rink while you are here. You’ll also find Santa here and even an Elf of the Shelf scavenger hunt (from participating shops)! It truly is a beautiful area to walk through this time of year as the lights twinkle as patrons enjoy the holiday festivities.
2: The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo: The Electric Safari is back in full swing as they are open for 24 nights this year! Purchase your tickets HERE to enjoy an evening walk through our amazing zoo and enjoy the Christmas lights on the beautiful mountainside, enjoying sweets and treats, and larger than life inflatable animals! Advanced tickets are required to attend the Electric Safari, and we highly recommend this event for the whole family to enjoy.
3: Colorado Vertical: If lights are one of your favorite parts of the season, we strongly encourage you to check out Colorado Vertical, your local helicopter tour that takes you above the city for a reindeer’s eye view of the lights all over our beautiful city. 4: Cave of the Winds: This year, The Cave of the Winds is hosting a new Christmas experience for everyone to enjoy, Christmas Underground, where you can hear stories and music that fill up the caves and view the caves lit up in Christmas cheer! You’ll be able to take a 45-60 guided walk while enjoying this new experience. Get your tickets HERE!
5: Old Colorado City: Decorated in lights and holiday décor, you won’t want to miss your chance to take in this beautiful historic part of our city while you walk through the streets and local shops. Be on the look out for Old Saint Nick on the weekends while you’re shopping and dining in many of the shops and restaurants in the area in search of that perfect gift.
6: Manitou Springs: The city is lit up by beautiful Christmas lights. Head here to shop local and enjoy the lights and views the city has to offer.
7: Your local neighborhood: There are homes, restaurants, and shops all throughout the area decked out in beautiful lights and décor. You can click on this LINK for a map view of homeowner submitted addresses where you can head to enjoy lights and shows from the comfort of your own car. Many even have their own radio station with music to correspond to the light show for all to see!
