Hidden Attractions in Colorado Springs

If you’ve lived in Colorado Springs your whole life, you may be wondering what’s left to do, you may be bored like many people in their hometown. However, there are still plenty of places to explore surrounding the great city. Whether you’re into adventure, very outdoorsy, or a homebody, there are quite a few hidden attractions in Colorado Springs!

Cliff diving in Paradise Cove is a local tradition, a right of passage you might say. There are two different cliffs, one that’s about 20 feet high, the other half that. The water is from the mountain stream, making the water freezing, but an exhilarating experience. To get to the water, you must hike the beautiful one mile trail.

A beautiful, brisk hike is Helen Hunt Falls, with a gorgeous waterfall at the end of it. Located in North Cheyenne Cañon Park. You can enjoy the view from the base of the falls, or you can go on a short walk to the top of the bridge and admire from above!

Just by Helen Hunt Falls is the Painted Mines, a location with 4 miles of hikes, most intermediate, but still beautiful nonetheless. This park covers 750 acres, containing geological formations of hoodoos, colored clay and sandstone capped spires.
