There are lots of campgrounds in and around Colorado Springs for everyone to enjoy! Whether you like cabins, RVs, or tents, there is a spot for you. Colorado is a great state for camping with all sorts of wildlife, nature, fresh air, and more. Most of the campgrounds have sites for all types of camping but some of the resorts in the area are mostly for RVs and cabins, below you can find the perfect spot.
This resort has every type of camping from tent and RV sites to cabins and cottages for rent. Enjoy two heated pools, an on-site convenience store, free wifi, an arcade, and a playground for the kids all while enjoying amazing views of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Just around the resort, there are multiple activities for you to do, including a visit to Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Canyon, Old Colorado City, and if you really want you can take a visit to the Pikes Peak Cog Railway.
The Yogi Bear Park is another favorite for Colorado locals, it is mainly an RV park but they also have cabins available for rent and allow tents in your own RV sites. The park is open year-round and has activities fit for all seasons. During the warmer seasons, you can enjoy their jump-pad, miniature golf, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as their pan mining and community fire pits and outdoor events. Also open during the summer is 2 main pools, one with a hot tub and the other has a kid-friendly water park. If you’re interested in staying during the colder seasons, the park has an indoor full-sized gym, bowling, event center, and more. The Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park has everything you could need and more for just $72 a night.
If you want a more adventurous time, right on the Rampart Reservoir is the Thunder Ridge Campground. While swimming in the Reservoir is prohibited, you can bring a kayak or a canoe and even enjoy fishing at the 500-acre lake. Campsites are around $25 a night and water faucets as well as bathrooms, picnic tables, and fire pits are available on each site and throughout the campground.
