The school districts available to Black Forest residents are Academy District 20 and Lewis-Palmer School District 38. Founded in 1957, Academy District 20 prides itself on serving over 26,000 students across 40 different schools. They have been “Accredited with Distinction” – Colorado’s highest academic ranking – every year since the rating’s creation. District 38 has been accredited with distinction by the state of Colorado, and their Lewis Palmer and Palmer Ridge high-schools have been ranked as top high-schools in Colorado by the U.S. News and World Report. With five elementary schools, one middle school, and two high-schools, District 38 offers you a variety of schooling choices for your children.
